Shipston Veterinary Centre
The Veterinary practice had been operating out of the ground floor of a two-storey building which contained a residential flat above.
The practice, located within a Shipston-on-Stour, a market town and Conservation Area in the Stratford-on-Avon District, was in much need of additional space and therefore our Stansgate, providing both planning and architectural services, were able to put together an application to convert the flat above into additional floor space for use by the practice. When preparing the application, we were mindful of a local planning policy resisting proposals which resulted in the loss of dwellings, however, Stansgate were able to formulate a convincing business case to justify the loss of the dwelling in this instance and planning permission was subsequently granted for the works.
