Milcote Café,
The Greenway
Stratford-upon-Avon locals will be familiar with the Milcote Café; a railway carriage that has been converted to a friendly coffee shop serving up sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold drinks to people walking and cycling the Stratford Greenway.
The planning permission for the café was first granted in 2003 on a temporary basis and the permission was renewed several times, with a new temporary consent granted each time.
Stansgate, providing both planning and architectural services, were successful in gaining permanent consent for the café in 2023, providing our client with certainty for their business moving forward and ensuring that the railway carriage could continue to be used as a café serving users of the Stratford Greenway for years to come.
