PROJECTS

Class Q is a permitted development right which allows for the conversion of agricultural buildings to dwellinghouses, provided that the works comply with certain conditions and limitations.

This project relates to the conversion of a large modern barn into a single dwelling. The works comprised the installation of new windows and doors, internal walls, a new mezzanine floor, and replacement timber cladding for the upper sections of the external walls. A measured survey of the building along with the preparation of the existing and proposed drawings for planning purposes were prepared by Stansgate’s Architectural Technician. Stansgate also worked closely with the structural engineer at Delta Vector Engineering to ensure that the proposals were compatible with the existing structure without any modification to the primary structural elements of the building.

This project is just one of many examples of a successful Class Q conversion scheme which Stansgate have secured consent for.
